Ultimate Worlds Collide

Welcome to the Olyimpic Games...sort of...

This is a page where people send in their SSBM and eventually SSBB game ideas, and if they are good enough, we will put them on here. This page is run by animefreak1000 (aka Konoha107) and Roxas121. Our respective emails are konoha107@aim.com and dementedchildren101@yahoo.net.

SSBM Baseball

This the first gametype that we have made, and since it is so vauge, you can feel free to make your own variations. This will probably be posted on Smashboards later.

SSBM Baseball

Players: 3 or 4

Stage: Hyrule Temple

P1 needs to be Ness, since lo and behold, the Home Run Bat doesn't work well for this. P2 needs to be Luigi or Pichu (Luigi recommended), since they have the best moon smashes. P3 and P4 can be whoever they want, as long as they are not Falco or Fox (they move around the stage too fast to be fair).

All items need to be turned off and set to none, unless you want a complete crazy-fest (it's already gonna be a crazy-fest, so I don't really recommend this).

This is the layout of the map. You may notice the HUGE distance between 2nd and 3rd base. Well, let's just say that's to get you to practice on your Up-B thunder. It also kills off some chasers.

Batter stands on home and pitcher stands on 1st.

The overall distance a person has to travel is around the map. And they have to do this without being hit, so this is why I don't recomend allowing Fox, Falco, or any other super-fast characters.

You bat by Ness' foward smash (the bat) , and you pitch by Luigi's foward smash (a meteor smash).

A typical play goes like this: The pitcher (Luigi) launches himself towards the batter (Ness). Ness uses his smash (bat attack) to hit Luigi flying (he already has some damage from previous hits), and runs like heck around the map. He makes it to 3rd after a spectacular Up recovery, but before he can reach home, Marth brings his sword down on Ness to avenge Luigi. Ness is "out".

A player has three outs, just like in regular baseball. There also also three strikes and four balls. A ball this time around allows someone to get hit once and keep going. You earn strikes and balls the same way you do in regular baseball; that is why I recommend there to be a referee. There is no fielding, since the pitcher pratically is the ball, and he can participate in the chase around the stage. After an out, the batter simply returns to the batting area and hits again, untill he has three outs. You get a run and one point when you make it all the way around the stage (to find out what "all around the stage" is, connect the dots from the first picture) without getting hit.

When a player gets three outs, he switches controllers with someone who is "fielding", someone else pitches, and so on.

There is no set number of "innings", and the players can set a run limit. As said before, I highly stress using fairly slow characters for "fielders", since that would be only fair. The poor batter has so much against him.

Anyway, since I didn't really stress much in this, there is much room for improvising here. Try out your own ideas for this game; this is only the way we pefer to play.
